SELECTED PROJECTS
Helm — AI-Powered Surgical Coordination System
Project Lead · 6-person team · 20-week capstone
Led primary research, including a 4-hour OR shadowing session and interviews across six practitioner types, identifying equipment-tracking delays as the highest-impact of three candidate directions.
Designed a layered detection system (force sensor, YOLOv8n computer vision, AI contextual check) with voice-first alerts, establishing a "recommend, never decide" AI-trust boundary.
Validated the concept across 8 usability sessions with 10 OR staff, then presented the working prototype at SCAD's UX capstone Demo Day.
Convoy — Last-Mile Delivery Ecosystem
Project Manager · 4-person team · 10-week studio
Directed concept development and system logistics for a delivery ecosystem spanning drivers, smart lockers, and autonomous robots, targeting the $37B U.S. package-theft problem.
Anchored the delivery robot's specs to Serve Robotics, a real commercially deployed autonomous fleet, instead of speculative numbers.
Designed a color-vision-safe status system for accessibility and presented early brand direction to a Google Ventures design lead for outside feedback.
Oscar — Wearable AI Museum Companion
Project Lead, UI & Branding · 4-person team · 10-week studio
Pitched the original concept and led UI, branding, and interaction design for a wearable AI companion that helps museum visitors engage with art without a docent.
Built a physical, to-scale 3D-printed mockup instead of a simulated demo, prioritizing crit-tested realism over unverifiable claims.
Developed a business model alongside the device, including tiered museum pricing and a honeycomb-combinable charging stand.
Bleacher Report — Redesign (Concept)
Solo Project · 10 weeks
Identified three recurring complaints (cluttered UI, credibility, stagnant innovation) by analyzing B/R's own App Store reviews instead of assuming pain points.
Benchmarked 9 competitors and built 5 behavior-based personas to guide a redesign across 5 core screens, from hand-drawn wireframes to high-fidelity UI.
Shifted headline tone from clickbait-style to factual reporting, directly targeting the credibility complaints found in research.
